Top seed TMS-Philippine Army guns for a slot in the finals when it takes on Cagayan Valley at 5 p.m., while powerhouse Cignal tackles Petron in the other semifinal at 7 o’closck.
The PSL Final is set Sunday, also at MOA Arena. Elimination round matches were played at Philsports Arena.
After finishing the classification round with an impressive 4-1 mark, the Lady Troopers are tipped to coast to history as the first winners of the tournament.
The HD Spikers, who emerged as a solid contender after a shaky start, are also favored.
"There's no clear-cut favorite," Army coach Rico de Guzman said. "This is a well-balanced league. Teams have an equal chance of winning the title. It's just a question of who wants it more."
Petron coach Villet Ponce-de Leon agreed.
"Anybody has an equal chance of winning," she said. "We just have to go back to the drawing board, re-focus and hope for the best. We have gotten this far. We have to prepare hard if we really want to win."
Tickets are pegged at P250 in the patron section, P150 in the lower box section, P100 in the upper box section and P75 in the general admission.
Tickets can be purchased at all SM Ticketnet outlets, SM Malls or online via www.smtickets.com.
