ALAS Pilipinas Men will play all of its 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship matches at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena, including the knockout stage if the nationals get that far.
The 64th-ranked Philippine men’s volleyball team will raise the curtains on the biggest edition of the global meet on Sep. 12 against 11-time African champion and world No. 24 Tunisia at 7:30 p.m.
Alas vs Egypt next
Alas will take a four-day break after its tournament opener before resuming its home campaign against reigning African titleholder and world No. 20 Egypt.
The hosts are to wrap up pool play in what could be a make-or-break showdown for a spot in the Round of 16 when they take on the second-highest ranked Asian team in Iran on Sep. 18.
The remainder of the eight-pool, 32-team field will be split across the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and the Pasay City venue.
Pools D featuring USA, E led by Slovenia, and H starring Brazil will play at the MOA Arena with Alas and Pool A.
Meanwhile, Pool B with top-ranked Poland, C with second-seeded France, F with powerhouse Italy and G with fan-favorite Japan will stage pool play at the Big Dome.
The Pasay venue will host the knockout stage in an eight-day stretch from Sep. 20 to 28.
