Just as her motor began running, Solomon was struck with an unfortunate setback at 2-1 in the fourth set as she took a fall during an attack attempt and hurt her left ankle.
Alas head coach Jorge Souza de Brito shared a positive update on Solomon’s status to SPIN.ph hours after their second victory in as many matches in pool play.
“Later will see. She is under treatment [but] no pain at all,” de Brito said in a text message.
A busier night awaits the Brazilian mentor from Hanoi, Vietnam as he makes the call on who Capital1’s first overall pick will be at the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft.
The consensus top pick in National U and Alas Pilipinas winger Bella Belen will be with him as draft night activities begin on Sunday evening.

Whether Belen is a lock for the top pick as everyone expected, de Brito is staying tight-lipped in the last few hours leading to the draft.
“We’ll see,” de Brito said.
