ALAS Pilipinas players will no longer return to their respective PVL mother teams for the rest of the ongoing Reinforced Conference and even until the end of the two-week Invitational Conference on September.
League president and Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) national team commission chairman Ricky Palou explained how the overlapping schedules of Alas’ forthcoming matches led to such a decision.
In the aftermath of Chery Tiggo pair Eya Laure and Jen Nierva’s exclusion from the 2024 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Challenger Cup roster, an agreement was first reached to have Alas’ PVL players return to their clubs by Aug. 11 when the SEA V.League ends.
However, four days since the regional meet concluded, no Alas player has suited up for their PVL team midway through the second round of pool play.
