ALAS Pilipinas Women quickly put its Australia heartbreak behind it, cruising to a 25-9, 25-11, 25-17 sweep of lowly Kyrgyzstan in the 2026 AVC Women’s Cup on Monday at the Candon City Arena.
The hosts bounced back in emphatic fashion just a day after absorbing a stinging five-set defeat to Australia, improving to 2-1 in Pool B and keeping themselves firmly in contention for a favorable position entering the knockout phase.
Determined to avoid another slow start, Alas immediately imposed its will on a Kyrgyzstan side still searching for its first victory of the tournament.
