AIR FORCE tries to keep its winning ways and shoots for the first semifinal berth in the Spikers Turf as the Airmen battle Sta. Elena Wrecking Balls on Wednesday at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Airmen dominated the Navy Sailors in three for their third straight victory before the league took a nine-day break.
Coach Rhovyl Verayo remains confident of his wards’ chances against the Wrecking Balls in the 1 p.m. match.
“Our teamwork has been helping us a lot and if we continue playing the way we do, we’ll have a chance,” said Verayo.
Navy seeks to bounce back against a struggling PLDT Home Ultera side at 3 p.m. while Cignal aims to firm up its hold of second spot as it tangles with Instituto Estetico Manila in the 5 p.m. match.
The Cignal HD Spikers are just behind the Airmen with a 2-1 card, while the Sailors are in third at 1-1. The Wrecking Balls and the PLDT Ultra Fast Hitters are in joint fourth at 1-2. The IEM Volley Masters are winless in two matches.

Verayo will again pin his hopes on Reyson Fuentes, Rodolfo Labrador, Jeffry Malabanan, Ruben Inaudito, Alnakran Abdilla and playmaker Jessie Lopez, who leads the field with 10.38 successful sets per frame.
Sta. Elena mentor Arnold Laniog and the Wrecking Balls hope to come out strong after the long break and pull off a reversal behind Alnasip Laja, Rocky Honrade, Myco Antonio, Nestor Molate and Ace Andani.
The Wrecking Balls are also out to bounce back after their setback to the HD Spikers when they a blew a two-set lead.
The matches of the tournament presented by PLDT Home Ultera are aired on weekdays on PTV-4 starting at 4 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:15 p.m.
