THE New Year is off to a bad start for Philippine Air Force spiker Reuben Inaudito after he was stabbed while trying to break off a commotion in Kalibo, Aklan on Sunday.
The former National University top hitter, who went back to his hometown for the holidays, sustained stab wounds from an allegedly drunk attacker.
According to his former NU coach Dante Alinsunurin, the suspect stabbed Inaudito with a jungle bolo but he's already in safe and stable condition.
Alinsunurin stressed that he wasn't told the entire story and the exact details but he's relieved that Inaudito is already safe.
Inaudito steered NU to a back-to-back championships in the UAAP from Season 75 to 76. He was also a vital cog in Air Force’s Open Conference and Reinforced Conference championship in the Spikers’ Turf last year.
