ADAMSON University made short work of University of the East, 25-17, 25-20, 25-9, on Wednesday in the 76th UAAP women's volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Amanda Villanueva and Bhebs Pineda carried the Lady Falcons with 12 points apiece as Adamson evened its win-loss record 5-5.
"More on responsibility ko 'yun eh (na mag step up) kasi binigay sa akin 'yung posisyon na 'yun wala akong kailangan na hingin na kahit ano kasi responsibility ko nga," said Villanueva, the 21-year old open spiker who has helped carry the squad after the graduation former team captain Pau Soriano.
The San Marcelino-based squad also capitalized on UE's 28 team errors.
Ma. Shaya Adorador came up with 11 markers for the Lady Warriors, who remained winless in 10 games.
