ADAMSON opened the second round of eliminations on a winning note as it downed University of the Philippines, 25-15, 25-9, 25-19, in the 76th UAAP women's volleyball tournament on Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.
Amanda Villanueva came up with 14 points, while Bhebs Pineda added 13 for the Lady Falcons, which bounced back after ending the first round with a loss to Far Eastern University.
Adamson is now tied for fourth with Far Eastern University with an even win-loss record of 4-4 and remained in the hunt for a semifinal spot.
Angeli Araneta and Katherine Bersola each had seven points for UP, which dropped to 1-8.
