ADAMSON recovered from a first set collapse to defeat University of the East, 23-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-10, in the 76th UAAP women's volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan on Sunday.

Bhebs Pineda came up with 17 points, Mylene Paat and Amanda Villanueva chipped in 13 markers each, while Jessica Galanza and Erika Alkuino both had seven points for the Lady Falcons.

"Talagang ganoon nawalan ng kumpyansa ang mga players kaya natalo," said Adamson coach Sherwin Meneses of their opening set.

"Sabi ko na lang sa kanila hindi nila dapat i-underestimate ang kalaban kahit walang panalo kailangangumalaw para manalo," he added. "Hindi naman makukuha agad ang panalo kailangan paghirapan."

Adamson recorded its first back-to-back wins in the season and improved to 3-2.

Shaya Adorador made 12 points for UE, which is winless in five matches and is tied with University of the Philippines for seventh spot.
