ADAMSON and National University dispute the top spot in Group B when the two teams clash Sunday at the resumption of the 10th Shakey’s V-League First Conference at The Arena in San Juan.

Both teams enter the 4 p.m. match carrying identical 1-0 (win-loss) record.

But the Lady Falcons get an additional boost with the return of Angela Benting to reinforce the fearsome trio of Pau Soriano, Bhebs Pineda, and Mayeth Zapanta.

“All around siya, sa opensa o depensa ok siya," said Adamson coach Sherwin Meneses of Benting.

The Lady Bulldogs, on the other hand, will rely on the towering Santiago sisters of Dindin and Jaja, who finished with 22 and 12 points, respectively, in their win against Arellano.

Myla Pablo and rookie Aiko Urdas will also beef up National University.

Meanwhile, University of Santo Tomas tries to avenge its opening loss when it takes on La Salle-Dasmariñas.

The Tigresses, who bowed to defending champion Ateneo in straight sets, 23-25, 23-25, 20-25, will be seeking their first win n the 2p.m. match..

UST will lean on Pamela Lastimosa and Carmela Tunay, while returning setter Rhea Dimaculangan and former MVP Aiza Maizo are also expected to provide added boost for the six-time league champion.

But the España-based squad remain wary of the Lady Patriots (1-0), who debuted on a high note following their victory over Letran in Group A.

"Sabi ko lang sa mga bata na i-grab namin ang opportunity na ipanalo ang bawat game," said La Salle Dasma coach Darwin Campana.
