ADAMSON University defeated Far Eastern University, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12, in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.

Jema Galanza had 26 points, 15 digs and 17 excellent receptions as the Lady Falcons bounced back from a straight-set beating from National University in the opener.

“If you were here last week that is not the same team that played NU so we just need to build on this,” said Adamson coach Air Padda.

“The coaches always knew that if we needed that first win, they needed a confidence booster and unfortunately last week it wasn’t against NU,” said Padda.

“I’ve had so much respect for them as a program but man it feels good,” she added.

Mylene Paat had 13 points for Adamson, while Joy Dacoron added 12 and Permentilla had 11 in the took two-hour and 14-minute match.

FEU skipper Bernadeth Pons had 22 points, 16 digs and 13 excellent receptions, Toni Rose Basas chipped in 18 and Celine Domingo contributed 10.
