THE second leg of the popular Tri United series has opened its registration for the much awaited July 6 event.
This year’s venue for Tri 2 is at Playa Laiya, Batangas and features distance categories of Long (2Km Swim / 60Km Bike / 15Km Run); Sprint (750m Swim / 20km Bike / 5km Run) and Teens (750m Swim / 20km Bike / 5km Run).
Registration started last April 7 and there are early bird discounts on hand. Participants in the Long distance can pay P3,500 up to April 15; P4,000 up to April 30 and P4,500 up to May 15. Those taking part in Sprint & Teens need only pay P2,500 between May 15-30 and P3,000 up to June 6.
The deadline for registration (Long distance only) is May 15, 2014 or until slots last. The registration for the Sprint Distance will start on May 15 until June 6, 2014 or until slots last. Registration fees are non-transferable.

In the Long Distance, the different divisions in the Male Age Group are Elite, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-Above; the Female Age Group has the Elite, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-Above; and the Team Competition.
The Sprint Distance in the Male Age Group is subdivided into 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-Above while the Female Age Group are 18-29, 30-39, 40-Above. The Teen Distance covers 16-17 in both male and female age groups.
Podium finishers will be handed awards and prizes. All Top 3 Male / Female Category and Team winners will receive medals and gift packs while the Top 3 Team Competition winners will receive a trophy, medals and gift packs. Elite category winners will receive cash prizes.
Race kits include an event shirt, a swim cap, a timing chip, race bib, wristband, bike & helmet sticker, finishers’ medals and meals for all participants.
