NICOLE Eijansantos won her third straight girls triathlon gold in the POC-PSC Batang Pinoy National Finals in Danao City on Saturday.
The 14-year-old Eijansantos, a member of the national developmental pool, clocked 45 minutes, 19 seconds in the 400-meter swim, 12-kilometer bike, and 3K run.
Everly Macalalad was second in 46:23 and Una Janus Sibayan took third place in 46:34.
“It was challenging in the water because of the rough waves,” said Eijansantos, from School of the Holy Spirit in Quezon City
In the boys division, Brent Valelo of Caloocan won over two-time champion Yuan Chiongbian of Cebu with a time of 38:45.
John Caleb Barlin of Iloilo finished second with 38:58 followed by Chiongbian at 39:25.
