Treat Huey, Max Mirnyi stun top-ranked Columbian pair to reach finals of Mexico event

TREAT Huey and Max Mirnyi beat Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah, 4-6, 6-3, 10-7, to reach the finals of the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presentado por HSBC men’s doubles competition in Acapulco, Mexico.

The Filipino and Belarusian, seeded fourth, stunned the top-seeded Colombian duo to book a place in the final of the tournament which offers a prize money of US$94,800 and 500 ATP World Tour points for the champion.

Huey and Mirnyi will take on third-ranked Philipp Petzschner of Germany and Alexander Peya of Austria - 6-1, 6-3 winners over unranked Oliver Marach of Austria and Fabrice Martin of France.

Huey and Mirnyi turned back Mariusz Fyrstenberg of Poland and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico, 7-5, 6-2, in the quarterfinal round.
