RODOLFO Barquin whipped RJ Singson, 6-1, 6-1, to claim the boys’ 18-under singles crown, while Gennifer Pagente won two titles on Sunday in the fifth leg of Globe 17th Head Graphene XT Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit at the Praxevilla tennis courts in Dumaguete City.
Pagente whipped Shyryn Salazar in the girls’ 16-under singles final, 6-3, 6-3, then won the girls’ 14-under singles crown by defeating Valerie Desoyo, 6-1, 6-0.
In other finals matches, Reyniel Marcilliana beat Christian Lagat, 6-2, 6-4, to claim the boys’ 16-under crown, Ybarra Ortega defeated Fernando Caesar Po, 6-3, 6-1, to grab the boys’ 14-under title, and Alekzander Po trounced Joshua Raymundo, 6-2, 6-4, in the 12-under division.
Valerie Desoyo defeated Tricia Francisco, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, to win the 18-under title and Micah Medina whipped Dianne Perez, 6-0, 6-1, for the girls’ 12-under crown.
Kerwin De beat Khenz Justiniani, 6-3, 6-1, to claim the 10-under unisex crown in the tournament organized by Dynamics Sports, sanctioned by the Philippine Tennis Association and sponsored by Globe Telecommunications, Chris Sports, Head ATP Tennis Balls, Graphene XT, Toalson, Philippine Sports Commission, Philippine Tennis Association, Sports Radio 918AM, Home Radio 97.9FM Natural, Boracay Informer, Todo 88.5FM Aklan, Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Power Wheels Magazine, Motorcycle Magazine, Balikbayan The Asian Journal Magazine, Wazzup Pilipinas, Reach Magazine, Oishi and AMAX Inn Makati.
