THE Philippines swept Singapore, 3-0, to move to the finals of the ITF Team Championship for Boys and Girls Asia/Oceania pre-qualifier in New Delhi.
Carmencita Carlos beat Clare Cheng, 6-1, 6-2, while Alexandra Eala defeated Trisha Mulani, 6-0, 6-0. Eala teamed with Gaby Zoleta to beat Cheng and Deanne Choo, 6-1, 6-0, in the doubles.
With the victory, the Philippines coached by Tom Falcis arranged a finals match with Jordan, which beat Kyrgyzstan in their own semifinal pairing.
The Philippine Sports Commission supported the campaign of the Filipina netters.
