    Patrimonio leads march of PCA Open favorites

    KATHARINA Lehnert and Clarice Patrimonio hurdled their respective rivals as the top four seeds reached the quarterfinals of the 2012 Philippine Columbian Association Open women’s singles tournament at the PCA courts in Manila.

    The top-seeded Lehnert blanked Jade Charito Capadocia, 6-0 6-0, while second-ranked Patrimonio defeated Nikki Arandia, 6-1 6-2, in their matches on Wednesday at the PCA's shell courts.

    Junior sensation Marian Jade Capadocia, seeded No. 3 in the tournament, beat Lenelyn Milo, 6-0 6-3, while fourth-ranked Aileen Rogan downed Kimberly Keethler, 6-0 6-1.

    Lehnert will next face Alyssa Labay, a 6-2 6-2 winner over Jazsh Canja. Patrimonio takes on Toby Miclat, who defeated Macy Gonzales, 6-1 6-1.

    In the round-of-eight, Capadocia faces Hannah Espinosa after she prevented a sister showdown in the quarters beating Jella Jade Capadocia, 6-4 6-2.

    Rachelle De Guzman beat Christine Patrimonio, 6-3 6-2, to set up a quarterfinal match with Rogan.
