DE La Salle defeated National University, 3-2, on Saturday in Game One of the UAAP Season 76 women’s tennis tournament at the Olivares College Sports Center in Parañaque City.
Regina Santiago defeated Anna Christine Patrimonio, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3, in the deciding singles match as the Lady Archers took first blood of the best-of-three series.
The Lady Archers swept the singles matches, with Marinel Rudas and Rachelle De Guzman also delivering wins.
The Taft-based netters aim to win their second straight women’s tennis crown and fourth in the last five seasons in Game Two on Wednesday morning at the Olivares College Sports Center.
