FOUR-TIME champion Serena Williams defeated world No. 2 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, 6-3, 7-6 (6), to set up a title match with No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska in the Wimbledon Championships.
The 30-year-old Williams hit 24 aces on Friday (Manila time) en route to booking her seventh finals appearance at the All England Club.
Poland's Radwanska, 23, advanced to her first Grand Slam final with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over No. 8 Angelique Kerber of Germany.
Radwanska will take over the world No. 1 ranking if she wins the Wimbledon title.
Williams won their two previous matches, the last during the quarterfinals four years ago also at the All England Club.
