THE International Premier Tennis League expects another great turnout despite the same pricey tickets that are set to be sold for the return of the IPTL in Manila in December at the Mall of Asia Arena.
More than 30,000 people trooped the MOA Arena in the inaugural staging of the innovative competition last November with the most expensive three-day ticket sold as high as almost P60,000.
“The response last year was overwhelming,” IPTL vice president for operations Abishek Ponia said.
Local tennis fans have more than half a year to save up as SM Lifestyle Entertainment Inc. (SMLEI) on Thursday announced the same prices of tickets as last year: P58,000 (VIP), P48K (Patron), P26K (Lower Box), P14K (Upper Box), and P3K (General Admission).
“The owners decided to maintain the same pricing as last year,” SMLEI president and Philippine Mavericks co-owner Edgar Tejerero said.
Tickets, which are transferrable and good for the entire three-day tournament, start selling on July 15.
