TREAT Huey of the Philippines and partner Dominic Inglot of Britain bowed to top seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia, 7-5, 6-7 (4), 10-5, in the doubles final of the ATP World Tour Swiss Indoors.
Huey, a member of the Philippine Davis Cup, Southeast Asian Games and Asian Games teams, and Inglot stunned fourth-ranked Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski to advance to the finals.
In the first round, the unseeded pair beat Thomaz Belluci of Brazil and Jarkko Nieminen of Finland, 6-2, 7-5, before edging out Robin Haase of Netherlands and Dick Norman of Belguim, 7-6 (5), 6-4.
Huey’s doubles ranking of 35th in the world is expected to rise following the finals appearance.
Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina won the singles title with a win over home bet and world No. 1 Roger Federer.
