GENNIFER Pagente won the 16-under and 14-under girls titles recently in the 12th leg of the Globe 17th head Graphene XT Junior Tennis at the Del Rosario tennis courts in Angeles, Pampanga.
Pagente won via walkover against Mary Aubrey Calma to bag the 16-under title then beat Althea Faye Ong, 6-1, 6-2, to claim the 14-under crown.
Andre Tuason won the boys’ 18-under singles title via walkover against Matt Steven Palasan, who beat Jonas Silva, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, in the 16-under final.
Jed Justin Labasano outclassed Rafael Llangco, 6-1, 6-0, to win the boys’ 14-under division, Rafael Llangco defeated Juan Rafael Mendoza, 6-1, 6-1, to clinch the boys’ 12-under trophy, and Axi Lajon Gonzaga beat Mike Gamalo, 4-2, 5-4 (3), to bag the 10-under unisex crown.
Princess Catindig won when Mary Aubrey Calma retired with the score at 4-6, 6-3, 3-2 in the girls’ 18-under final of the tournament organized by Dynamic Sports and sponsored by Globe Telecommunications, Chris Sports, Head ATP Tennis Balls, Graphene XT, Toalson, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and Philippine Tennis Association (PHILTA).
