ALEX Eala remained the lone home bet standing after Day Two of the WTA 125 Philippine Women's Open.
The last of three Filipina wildcards, Kaye Anne Emana, fell to Russia’s Tatiana Prozorova, 1-6, 0-6, on Tuesday, leaving world No. 49 Eala to fly the flag in the first-ever WTA tournament to be hosted by the country.

After a rain delay that stretched over three hours, former UAAP MVP Emana fell meekly after just 42 minutes of action on Court 1 of the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
The 22-year-old followed the exits of fellow Filipinas Tennielle Madis and Elizabeth Abarquez, who were both eliminated on Monday.
Second-seeded Eala, who ousted Russian Alina Charaeva, 6-1, 6-2 on Monday night, will play her round-of-16 match on Wednesday and is set to face either Nao Hibino or Himeno Sakatsume.

Meanwhile, top seed Tatjana Maria (WTA No. 42) was made to sweat before advancing to the round of 16 after a 7-6(5), 6-4 win over France’s Leolia Jeanjean.
Chinese qualifier Ma Ye-xin (WTA No. 225) also pulled off an upset, knocking out No. 98 Darja Semenistaja to secure a second-round berth.
No qualifier got past the first round in the main draw.
