NOT Bogota, but it felt like home.
This was the case for Manila's first-ever WTA125 title holder, Colombian Camila Osorio, as she made history on Saturday night, stunning Donna Vekic in a three-set thriller.
After owning Bogota three times at the WTA250 level in 2021, 2024, and 2025, Osorio finally broke through on foreign soil.
Manila became the place, the inaugural Philippine Women's Open the event, and she would not have it any other way.

In the quarterfinals, Osorio ended the fairytale of hometown hero Alex Eala, cutting short a surge that had Rizal Memorial on its feet night after night.
It was the turning point. From there, Osorio never let go.
What followed went beyond tennis.
“How you [WTA125 organizers, Philta, PSC] treated us, its unreal, and I hope to come back in the future,” Osorio said as she accepted her award.
And then, the Filipinos, whom she described as very similar to her countrymen in Colombia when it comes to warmth.
“Thank you to each one of you for being here. I've never seen this many people in a match for me. The support has been amazing. I hope you keep enjoying the sport, women’s tennis, and keep having fun.”
