Fil-Am Treat Huey and Andreja Klepac march on to semifinals of Australian Open mixed doubles

FIL-Am Treat Huey and Slovenian partner Andreja Klepac are through to the semifinals of the Australian Open mixed doubles competition, beating third seeds Yung-Jan Chan and Rohan Bopanna, 6-2, 7-5, on Wednesday in Melbourne.

Huey and Klepac will face Coco Vandeweghe of the United States and Horia Tecau of Romania.

Vandeweghe and Tecau upset the second-seeded American pair of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Bob Bryan, 6-3, 6-7, 10-6.

Elena Vesnina and Bruno Soares beat Katarina Srebotnik and Jamie Murray, 6-2, 6-3, and will face the winner of the match featuring the top seeds Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig against Martina Hingis and Leander Paes.

Huey earlier bowed out of the men's doubles with Belarussian partner Max Mirnyi, making it to the quaretrfinals where they were beaten by Daniel Nestor and Radek Stepanek.
