    Treat Huey’s Aussie Open run with Max Mirnyi ends in quarters; Fil-Am now focuses on mixed doubles with Andreja Klepac

    TREAY Huey of the Philippines and Max Mirnyi of Belarus were stopped in the quarterfinals by Daniel Nestor of Canada and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic, 6-4, 6-4, on Tuesday in the Australian Open men’s doubles tournament in Melbourne.

    Huey now focuses on the mixed doubles quarterfinals with Andreja Klepac of Slovenia, as they face Yung-Jan Chan of Taipei and Rohan Bopanna of India.

    Huey and Klepac beat Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden, 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 in the second round.

    In other men’s doubles results, Adrian Mannarino and Lucas Pouille of France beat top-ranked Jean-Julien Rojer of Netherlands and Horia Tecau of Romania, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4.

    Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay and Marcel Granollers of Spain beat ninth seeds Vasek Pospisil of Canada and Jack Sock of the US, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2.
