MAKING her final tournament push of the year on tennis’ biggest stage, Alex Eala is set for a packed 2026 US Open campaign in New York, where she will compete in three events.

The Filipina world No. 20 is looking to improve on her Round of 64 finish last year, when she secured the first Grand Slam main-draw win of her career.

Eala defeated then-No. 14 seed Clara Tauson, 6-3, 2-6, 7-6, before falling to Cristina Bucsa, 6-4, 6-3, in the second round.

Now inside the Top 20, Eala will take part in the mixed doubles, the Stars of the Open exhibition, and the women’s singles main draw.

MIXED DOUBLES – STARTS AUGUST 25

Eala and Canadian world No. 4 Felix Auger-Aliassime received a wildcard into the mixed doubles main draw, joining a field that includes the likes of Serena Williams, Carlos Alcaraz, Aryna Sabalenka, and Novak Djokovic.

It will be the first partnership between Eala and Auger-Aliassime. The duo is set to open against Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils on Tuesday, Manila time, although the specific schedule and venue have yet to be announced.

The lineup includes Joao Fonseca, Iva Jovic, Learner Tien, Amanda Anisimova, Arthur Fils, Alex Michelsen, and Marta Kostyuk.

Eala will face her close friend Jovic in the exhibition.

SINGLES MAIN DRAW – STARTS AUGUST 30

After her mixed doubles and exhibition appearances, Eala will turn her attention to the main event: the 2026 US Open women’s singles.

While the official seedings have yet to be released, Eala is projected to be seeded at the Grand Slam, which would mark only the second time she has entered a major as a seed after Wimbledon, where she reached the Round of 16.

Eala arrived at Flushing Meadows a few days ago and has already held several practice sessions ahead of the tournament.

In an Instagram Story posted Monday, Eala also shared a glimpse of the warm reception she has received from fans, taking time to sign autographs and pose for photos ahead of the action.
