ALEX Eala's WTA 500 Mubadala DC Open final against world No. 3 Jessica Pegula has been rescheduled to early Monday morning after rain halted play in Washington.
The WTA 500 tournament announced that the championship match will resume at 12 midnight of Monday (Manila time).

The start of the final had already been delayed by more than three hours before it got underway at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday (Manila time).
Pegula won the opening set, 6-4, after breaking a 4-4 deadlock.
Eala then took a 2-1 lead in the second set before rain forced another suspension after just 57 minutes of play.
The Filipina is seeking the first WTA Tour-level singles title of her career, while Pegula is looking for a sweet homecoming in the site of her breakthrough tournament.
Eala is also looking to avenge her 2025 Miami Open loss to Pegula, who remains the only Top 10 player she has faced that the Filipino has yet to beat.
The men's singles final between Taylor Fritz and Rafael Jodar will follow the women's title match.
