ALL gas, no brakes for Alex Eala.
The Filipina rising star keeps hitting new gears, climbing five spots in the latest Monday update of the WTA rankings — from No. 45 to a career-high No. 40 in the world.
The jump comes on the back of a quarterfinal finish at the WTA500 Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open.

Already in her fifth tournament of the season, Eala wastes no time shifting focus, next lining up at the WTA1000 Qatar Open as she continues her charge through the 2026 calendar.
The 20-year-old ace opened the year at No. 50, then moved to 49, climbed to 45, and now breaks into the Top 40.

She has played through the ASB Classic in New Zealand, made her Australian Open debut, touched home base at the first-ever WTA125 Manila, and capped the stretch with a quarterfinal run in Abu Dhabi singles and a semifinal finish in doubles.
