BIGGER challenges await Alex Eala in her second grasscourt event of the season, joining world No. 2 Elena Rybakina, No. 6 Amanda Anisimova, and No. 9 Victoria Mboko at the WTA500 Queen’s Club HSBC Championship in London.
Eala, fresh from her first WTA 125 title of the year at the Lexus Birmingham Open, will be keen to ride the momentum as she takes on tougher matches against higher-ranked players after making the main draw via the backdoor.

The world No. 37 entered the main draw only after after Jessica Pegula and Hailey Baptiste withdrew due to injuries.
In the draw released by the tournament, Eala will face qualifier Shuai Zhang, the world's No. 64 ranked player, in the opening round on Tuesday, not before 7:10 p.m. Manila time. It will be the first meeting of their career.

The 21-year old Filipina is bracketed alongside her French Open tormentor and good friend Iva Jovic, with a possible rematch looming should both reach the second round.
Queen’s Club marks Eala’s 16th tournament of the calendar year. The tournament runs until June 14, 2026.
