PHILIPPINE tennis sensation Alex Eala ruled the W25 Roehampton tournament in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
Eala, who earlier ousted top-seed Priscilla Hon in the quarterfinal, made light work of second-seed Arina Rodionova of Australia in the final, 6-2, 6-3.

The 18-year-old was in complete control to win her fourth career ITF singles title which she decicated to her parents, who are set to celebrate their silver anniversary.
“Just in time for my parents’ 25th anniversary tomorrow,” Eala wrote on social media after the win.
Eala raced to a 5-1 lead by breaking in the sixth. Rodionova pulled one back with a break of her own, but the Filipina broke back to put the set away.
The Rafa Nadal Academy scholar rode the momentum to seize another sizable lead in Set 2, 4-1. It was over in hour and 54 minutes.

Eala has now won two ITF singles titles in the past three months after earlier ruling the W25 Yecla in Spain last June.
