AJ Lim pulled off an upset against third-seed Ulises Blanch, 6-3, 6-1, in the second round of the boys singles in the French Open at Roland Garros on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old Lim beat the American ranked third in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) juniors rankings to advance to the third round, where he will face Marvin Moeller of Germany for a quarterfinal berth.
Lim won over Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine of France, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2, in the first round before the upset victory over Blanch.
Lim also competed in the boys doubles but is already eliminated.
