SOPHOMORE forward Louie Vigil will be out of University of Santo Tomas lineup for the entire Season 76th of the UAAP men’s basketball tournament due to academis deficiencies.

The 2009 NCAA juniors MVP decided to skip the season and concentrate instead on his studies and his stint in the PBA D-League, according to teammates.

Vigil was part of the Blackwater Sports team that stunned four-time champion NLEX and won the PBA D-League Foundation Cup title Tuesday night following an 80-74 victory for a sweep of the best-of-three Finals.

Head coach Pido Jarencio, however, confirmed to that Vigil was not included in the Tigers' lineup this season due to academic problems, but is currently in the process of enrolling for school year 2013-2014.

The former Jose Rizal University Light Bomber star has expressed his desire to go back and play for the Tigers, but has to wait until next year to be able to suit up again for the España-based school.

"Ngayon gusto na niya bumalik," said Teng.

"This year di siya makakapaglaro, pero next year pwede na."
