ASIDE from being an excellent basketball coach, Tim Cone can apparently play softball as well.
A video shared by the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association (Paba) Facebook page shows the former Alaska coach playing in the Manila Slo-Pitch Softball League sometime in the late 1990s at the American Seafront Compound.
Cone, who is now the head coach of Barangay Ginebra, was still wearing an Alaska shirt in the video while also saw him swinging the bat, fielding, and throwing a pitch.
Cone said he played softball when he was young. The two-time grand slam coach still plays regularly and is a decent golfer.
“It’s really important for me to be outdoors and to be involved in something outside of basketball,” said Cone in an on-field interview.
