ADAMSON defeated University of the Philippines, 7-0, in six innings on Monday at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium for its 70th straight victory in UAAP softball.
Queenie Sabobo, Analie Benjamen, and Lorna Adorable spearheaded the Lady Falcons in the victory to go 8-0 this season, and are now four wins away from gaining the outright title.
“70 na pala,” said Adamson coach Ana Santiago, when updated about the team’s winning streak since 2011.
“Bonus na lang itong winning streak. Ang ultimate goal namin is to win the championship.”
“Sinasabi ko sa kanila na everytime na nananalo tayo, be proud of yourself and your school,” Santiago said.
In other results, Ateneo ended a 23-game losing skid when it beat University of the East, 3-0, while University of Santo Tomas won over National University, 7-0.
