SEA Games champs Philippine Blu Boys eye bigger prize in WBSC Men’s World Championship in Canada

THE Philippine Blu Boys softball team sets its sights on a bigger prize as it sees action in the 2015 World Baseball Softball Confederation Men’s World Championship set June 26 to July 5 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in Canada.

The Blu Boys, who recently won the gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games, eyes top honors in the tournament featuring 15 teams including reigning champion New Zealand.

Japan is the only other Asian team in the tournament.

Also seeing action are Argentina, Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Great Britain, Guatemala, Mexico, Netherlands, United States, and Venezuela.

The Blu Boys are sending the same squad that won the SEAG in Singapore via sweep.
