Ann Antolihao and Sierra Lange combined for six strikeouts, while giving up just four hits as the Blu Girls opened their bid for a spot in the Olympics on a high note.
The Blu Girls pelted five runs in the sixth to end the ballgame in a tie for first place with China in Group A.
Eight nations are vying for the lone berth in the Olympics, with the top two teams in each of the two groups advancing to the super round. The top team earns a trip to Tokyo.
