Adamson nine in semis after lopsided victories

    Oct 17, 2012

ADAMSON clinched a pair of victories in games played just hours apart to secure a semis berth in the Cebuana Lhuillier National Intercollegiate Women’s Softball Championships at the Rosario Sports Complex in Pasig.

The Lady Falcons blanked Rizal Technological University, 10-0, on Tuesday night, then followed it up with a 16-0 rout of Bulacan State University in just three innings early morning of Wednesday to secure their fourth win in as many outings.

The Lady Falcons are now one win away from completing a sweep of Group A entering the crossover semifinals, where they will face the De La Salle Lady Archers on Thursday.

Julie Marie Muyco pitched a one-hit game against RTU as the Lady Falcons collected 12 hits in the game.

Veronica Billeza, a member of Big League Softball World Series champion Manila along with several Adamson players, limited the Lady Falcons to only a run on three hits in the first four innings of the match.
