Adamson coach Ana Santiago credited the bottom order led by Paguican in stepping up against NU in the battle of unbeaten teams.

“Lagi ko siya nasesermonan dahil wala siyang pinapalo. Laging ang bottom namin, three outs lagi. Pero this time, nag-deliver sila.” said Santiago of Paguican.

Adamson scored the game’s first two runs in the second inning but NU went on the board on a sacrifice fly by Colleen Alilin before Aimee Watson drilled a run-scoring triple to tie the game, 2-2, in the third.

Adamson’s bottom of the batting order produced when it mattered the following inning with Clarisse Lozada hitting a two-out single before Paguican’s crucial run-scoring hit.

Riezel Calumbres provided the highlight play for Adamson in the seventh, eluding a tag at home plate to score the first of three runs of the inning for the Lady Falcons.

“Ito ’yung best game of the season. Both sides lumalaban. Nagkaroon lang kami ng breaks of the game,” said Santiago
