Cricket score as Team Manila begins Asia softball bid in fine style

    Jun 25, 2012

Team Manila put on a swashbuckling performance in its bid to return to the Big League Softball World Series, thrashing Indonesia, 23-0, on opening day of the Asia Pacific qualifying tournament in Jakarta.

The team, coached by Ana Santiago and Randy Dizer, is seeking to once again represent the Asia-Pacific region in the Big League Softball World Series in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Manila fell one game short of the world title last year, losing to Grand Rapids, Michigan, 9-2, in the final.

The team is primarily led by players from the UAAP softball champions Adamson Lady Falcons led by last season’s Athlete of the Year Rizza Bernardino.
