ADAMSON remained unbeaten in Season 76 of the UAAP women’s softball tournament on Wednesday, pulling off a 4-1 win over National University at the Rizal Memorial baseball stadium.
Rizza Bernardino slammed a solo home run as the Lady Falcons scored all their runs in the fourth inning for their seventh straight win this season and 41st overall dating back to 2010.
After the Lady Bulldogs scored first, Bernardino belted the solo shot before Analie Benjamen’s RBI double gave the Lady Falcons the lead for good.
A few batters later, Luzviminda Embudo slammed a bases-loaded hit to center field scoring Queeny Sabobo and Lorna Adorable for the Lady Falcons’ 4-1 lead.
Behind Adamson’s immaculate 7-0 record is idle University of Santo Tomas with a 5-1 slate, followed by NU in third with 4-3.
University of the Philippines beat De La Salle, 5-4, to tie University of the East at fourth with a 3-4 win-loss mark. The Lady Warriors beat the Ateneo Lady Eagles, 7-5.
The Lady Archers and the Lady Eagles are at the bottom of the standings with identical 1-4 cards.
