ADAMSON defeated La Salle, 4-0, on Monday needing a big push late in the match to stay unbeaten in the UAAP Season 78 softball tournament at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
The Lady Falcons came through in the sixth inning, scoring three runs to pad a precarious 1-0 early lead.
Adamson improved to 3-0 for the season and extended its winning streak to 65 games overall.
National University beat University of the Philippines, 3-2, for a 4-0 win-loss slate, while University of the East beat Ateneo, 10-1.
Saturday’s softball matches pitting University of Santo Tomas against La Salle, UP against UE, and Adamson opposite Ateneo were postponed due to rain.
In baseball on Sunday at the Rizal ballpark, Marco Mallari belted a home run as Ateneo defeated National University, 8-4, for a 2-0 win-loss record.
