Vicente bars PH spikers from granting media interviews to keep focus on SEA Games bid
The Philippine women's volleyball team aims to have full focus in its SEAG stint.

KUALA LUMPUR - Players of the Philippine women's volleyball team have been barred from granting interviews from the media as they look to stay focused on their preparation for the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

A player politely refused to be interviewed on Monday on orders by head coach Francis Vicente, perhaps in a move to keep distractions away ahead of the women's volleyball competition.

The women's volleyball team is already in town deep in the final preparations, days before their match against Malaysia on Thursday at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center Hall 11.

Larong Volleyball ng Pilipinas Inc. (LVPI) president Joey Romasanta said the team is in high spirits, including reserves Denden Lazaro and Kim Dy, who made the trip to contribute in any way they can in the preparation.
