KUALA LUMPUR – Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas confirmed that Gilas Pilipinas will stick with Carl Bryan Cruz, who is set to arrive here on Monday from Beirut to join the team’s campaign in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

SBP deputy executive director Bernie Atienza said the team has opted to go with the original line-up that includes Cruz, who was originally set to be replaced by Mac Belo.

With the request for replacement yet to be approved by SEA Games organizers, SBP has shelved its plan to replace Cruz as the Alaska rookie will be arriving in time for Tuesday's match against Myanmar after a grueling trip from Beirut where he saw action in the Fiba Asia Cup.

Gilas Pilipinas is on a one-day break in the SEA Games on Monday following the close 81-74 win over Thailand on Sunday at the MABA Stadium.
