MARY Joy Tabal has been reinstated by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (Patafa) to the national team, paving the way for the Olympian's stint in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.

In a statement, Patafa said marathon runner, through an email sent on Wednesday, agreed to comply with the conditions a committee had set for her to return to the national team.

"We look forward to Ms. Tabal working with the entire Patafa team as a positive contributor to the victories that the 33 other members of the athletics team are well on their way to achieving for the country and the Filipino people," said Patafa in the statement.

Patafa said Tabal committed to comply with the federation's rules and regulations, train with a federation-appointed coach, and report to the federation upon her return from a training stint in Italy.

Tabal, according to Patafa, has also agreed to drop her complaint filed before the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) against the athletics federation.
