ADVENTURE enthusiasts will get to test themselves with some challenging crawls and climbs, aside from the usual running on the road and on trails, in the Salomon XTrail Pilipinas 2012 on Sunday at Barangay Communal in Davao.
The race is just a 12-kilometer trail but is expected to last around three hours in a formidable test of not only endurance but also character.
“Over 95 percent of the race is on off-road tracks and some pavements,” said Dax Ang of the organizing Everest Outdoors.
“This event involves trail run activity. We are very concerned about the safety of the participants. Medical assistance will be positioned along the race course to allow immediate attention be provided in case of any emergency. Medical treatment will also be provided, if so required. A medical evacuation team will be on standby at all times,” Ang added.
Registration is ongoing at the ground level of the Gaisano Mall of Davao. Fee is P500 inclusive of a Salomon Shoe Bag, Salomon Race Bib, Race Jersey, Beach Hut Sunblock, Mid-Morning Snacks.
