IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DUEL!
And that's exactly the battle cry that American track and field athlete, Noah Lyles, had in the 2024 US Olympic Track Trials.
Before hitting a 9.92 record victory in the 100m sprint in the opening round, Lyles unveiled his signature weapon.
Behold! The power of the Blue Eyes White Dragon!
The Blue Eyes White Dragon is considered to be one of the most powerful cards in the early days of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card game. Boasting a 3,000 Attack Power, it became a major obstacle that players have to deal with.
Nowadays, despite the heavy changes in the Yu-Gi-Oh! meta, it's still a reliable card especially when players utilize the Blue Eyes archetype. There are cards that can allow players to unleash the legendary Dragon card even on the first or second turn.
It became one of the most popular cards due to its apperances in the anime series, as this became the signature card of one of the most renowned antiheroes in anime, Seto Kaiba.
And just like in the anime series, Lyles pulled out the Blue Eyes inside his briefcase.

Why Lyles showed the Blue Eyes White Dragon?
During an interview with the media, Lyles explained why he showed off his Yu-Gi-Oh! cards during the track trials.
Apparently, he had a bet with another track and field athlete, with Naruto merch being involved.
"Me and Chase Ealey, had a bet going on. She said, 'If I pull out Yu-Gi-Oh! cards each round, she'll wear the Rock Lee weighted shoes and drop weights during her finals."
"So I got to live up to my part of the deal so she lives up to her part of the deal."
As he went on, he also revealed that there are other cards inside his briefcase.
"I got some Exodia pieces, we're going to have to see them through the rounds."
Exodia is considered to be one of the most difficult cards to place in the battlefield as it requires five cards to fully unleash its almighty power.
Once all five cards are summoned, the player holding them will automatically win the game given its infinite attack power.
It even appeared on the first episode of the anime series when Yugi defeated Kaiba with his trump card.
Will Lyles flex all five pieces of the Exodia?
