EVANS Bomer and Maricar Camacho sparkled the brightest in the Manila leg of the EastWest Dream Run 2026, outpacing the 7,000-strong dreamers which came out on Sunday at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang.
The Kenyan Bomer topped the men's 21K after clocking in at 1:10:35, pulling away from the field to secure the overall title.
Arlan Arbois settled for second in 1:19:27, while Nelo Bangud completed the podium in 1:30:00.
Camacho was also in a league of her own, winning the women's side in 1:32:45, followed by Jocelyn Elijeran (1:36:22) and Nikka Parlaqui (1:37:28).
Now in its second year, the EastWest Dream Run celebrated running across multiple race distances, drawing participants of all ages and fitness levels in an event that combined competition with community engagement.
"It's encouraging to see more dreamers take this active lifestyle seriously and we're just motivated with this growing enthusiasm as we continue to celebrate health, fitness, and community," said RUNRIO president Rio de la Cruz, who was on hand for the awarding ceremony with EastWest CEO Jerry Ngo and CMO Martin Reyes.
Welmer Jeck Labrador crossed the finish line first in the men's 10K in 33:22, narrowly beating Vincent Avestruz (33:23) and Bong Sentillas (34:59); while Nicole Diloy ruled the women's division in 39:21, edging Asia Paraase (39:23) and Eloisa Cusi (39:44).
Jaren Ganan dominated the men's 5K with a winning time of 15:55, ahead of Noli Torre (16:05) and Justwin Guerrero (16:11); as Meljoy Gonzales led the women's field in 20:20, followed by Aaliyah Baloro (21:25) and Lala Delos Reyes (23:10).
Cavin Vidal paced the men's 3K after finishing in 9:32, followed by Rowar Jarapan (9:48) and Rhannie Pilaspilas (10:27); while Angel Lumacang claimed the women's crown in 12:25, with Ma. Nila Acampado taking second (13:42) and Joyce Hernandez placing third (14:50).
The event also featured the crowd-favorite 1K Dog Run where dreamers got a chance to sprint with their four-legged partners.
Moises Calastravo and Onzi topped the men's division in 2:53, ahead of Ranelle John Vicente and Java (2:57) and Angelo Sermona and Pogi (3:09); while Angelica Abaleta and Sansa claimed the women's title in 3:45, followed by Aiyesa Cabanes and Chopper (4:01) and Diana Gastilo and Jai-Ra (4:04).
After the Manila race, up next for the EastWest Dream Run are the legs in Clark on August 30, Iloilo on September 20, and Cagayan de Oro on October 18.
