AFTER a 12-day run, Australian-Singaporean ultramarathoner Natalie Dau finally came to a full stop, capping off her 1000-km journey from North Luzon to Metro Manila last May 2.
'Project 1000' began on April 21 in Santa Ana, Cagayan Valley with Jollibee sending Dau off on a journey full of courage, passion, and heart.
Throughout her run, the ultramarathoner passed by iconic landmarks, interacted with communities, and held special charity events for children, signifying that the feat wasn’t just about achieving another record, but also about bringing joy and countless smiles to others.

The run’s final stretch throughout Bonifacio Global City in Taguig was especially meaningful, with several groups running with Dau, including students from Sisters of Mary, Fort Bonifacio Development Foundation Inc.'s Bayani Scholars, and ASICS Philippines Run Club.
Dau’s immediate family and friends were also present, as BGC's streets were filled with energy from fans, fellow runners, media, and other supporters eager to witness the historic finish.
Adding to the joy of the moment, Jollibee was there as well, energizing the crowd as they cheered the Australian-Singaporean runner onto the finish line.
“Jollibee has been amazing, we’ve met many times across all stops. To be able to feed children along the way that have never had Jollibee and have never met Jollibee, and to be able to bring some joy into their lives is what this run is all about,” Dau shared.
“It’s about raising money for Filipino children and Jollibee has been such an amazing partner. Filipinos have touched all of our hearts; they’ve welcomed us and have been so kind. It's truly changed me forever.”

Ending the program was a fitting tribute - a Chickenjoy toast - offering a warm, delicious, and a very Filipino way of celebrating a remarkable and unforgettable journey.
"Jollibee’s mission has always been to spread joy and bring people together. We celebrate not just Natalie’s achievement, but also the collective power and joy of community, and the act of giving back that are at the core of Jollibee’s values," said Elise Maog, PR and Partnerships Lead of Jollibee Philippines.
